Meder by Dr Tiina Meder is a professional skincare brand founded by medical doctor and cosmetic safety expert Dr Tiina Meder in 2009.
Starting as a “one-product brand” with a professional toxin-free facial based on peptides as an alternative to botulinum toxin injections, it became a cult brand among skincare professionals.
Today, Meder offers six unique BioFacials exclusively for clinics and salons, and a range of innovative skincare for home use, based on peptides, probiotics and prebiotics, plant stem cells, botanical extracts and biofermented plants.
Meder skincare is suitable for all ages, all skin types and different stages of life, including pregnancy, breastfeeding and menopause.
Meder by Dr Tiina Meder is manufactured in Switzerland, has never been tested on animals and uses fully recyclable packaging, with a preference for botanical and biotechnological ingredients.
All Meder BioFacials and skincare products address the skin microbiome alongside skin cells, with a focus on active skin longevity.
Dr Tiina Meder began her career in the beauty industry as a medical doctor in 1996. She specialised in cosmetic safety and worked as a cosmetic safety expert and medical aesthetics educator, teaching beauty professionals in more than 30 countries worldwide.
In 2009, she launched Meder because she saw the future of skincare in peptides and probiotics—ingredients whose potential was not widely recognised by the beauty industry at the time.
Dr Meder continues to educate skincare professionals and develop new products, many of which have received awards and recognition from professionals around the world. In 2025, she launched her educational Meder Beauty podcast, The Skin We Live In.
Her latest book on active skin longevity, Future-Proof Skin, was published in 2026.
She regularly speaks about the skin microbiome at international scientific conferences.

Meder launches skin-friendly and pregnancy-safe pigmentation care: Lumino-Derm Cream and Lumino-Derm Sheet Mask.Both now firm favourites with Meder customers.

In 2021 Meder Beauty launched Circa-Night, the first biohacking night cream and received multiple awards from both industry experts and customers.
2019
Neurocosmetic Red-Apax range is out conquering redness, sensitivity and rosacea.
2018
We launch our first prebiotic-based rosacea treatment, Red-Apax and a unique epigenetic product for daily care, Vita-Long Oil.
Late 2013
Towards the end of the year Meder Beauty introduced microbiome-friendly home skincare range of 21 products, including everyone's favourites — Hydra-Fill Mask and Nrj-Soin Serum.
2009 - 2013
First we launched a non-invasive pro treatment for frown lines now known as Myo-Fix. In the next few years 4 more treatments followed, including prebiotic-based acne program Eu-Seb.

Before launching a product, Dr Tiina Meder and her team research the molecular mechanisms behind skin changes, the role of the microbiome in skin condition, skin epigenetics and, most importantly, skin physiology.
From the beginning, Dr Meder has chosen to avoid ingredients known for their potential to irritate or sensitise the skin. Meder formulas are developed to support active skin longevity, resilience and microbiome balance.

The Meder team is constantly looking for new botanical ingredients, researching traditional folk medicine alongside biotechnology and cosmetic chemistry. Plants, berries, vegetables, mushrooms, algae and biofermented plants, together with biotechnological peptides and probiotics, help us create a foundation for skin health and support skin balance and comfort across ages and skin types.
We will always stay skin-positive, prioritising skin health at any age. Our goal is active skin longevity as part of the body’s longevity and a happy life.
Our skincare will always be created with skin physiology and the microbiome in mind. We see the skin as the body’s largest organ, closely connected to the nervous, immune and endocrine systems, and we understand our responsibility to care for it.
We will not use retinol or hydroquinone, and we choose not to use AHAs in our formulas. We also avoid ingredients with a known potential to irritate or sensitise the skin. We will always be cruelty-free and strive to be as eco-friendly and sustainable as possible.
We will continue to innovate, using highly effective, research-based ingredients while staying focused on skincare safety—not only efficacy.
